A House for Your Home.

Fight for that display space on your fridge.

Do pictures paint a thousand words? Maybe yes maybe no, but today, you are invited to start an artistic rendition of your chosen property from the activity “House with a Story.”

Things Needed:

1. Paper

2. Whatever crafty/artsy bells and whistles you would like to depict your chosen property*

3. A camera or a good memory**

**Take a photo of your chosen property from the “House with a Story” activity, or simply draw an image from memory. If taking a photo, be sure to stay on public property, and stay legal, people!

Things to Consider:

Would you like to depict this space using natural colors? Do you want it to be recognizable? Would you like for it to look whimsical? Vibrant? Wild and crazy? Cool and clean? Do you want the style of your drawing to match your writing style, or would you like to do something completely different?

Make your choice, and go for it!

If you need a little more inspiration, click here for some more style ideas.

Of Note:

Think about those first exercises completed in “Simple Forms.” You may still feel a bit unsure of your favorite techniques and styles, or even unsure of your ability to fully convey what you like, but you have more experience and understanding now than you did at the start.

I hope you are starting to see that your rendition is your rendition. Continue to release your expectations and embrace what is pouring out of you. Find a magnet and stick that drawing on the fridge! Better yet, frame it and hang it.
